New CCF Website
You may have noticed that we look a bit different this semester! Over the summer, the CCF Staff has worked hard to give our entire website a visual overhaul, focusing on a cleaner, more vibrant look that's easier to navigate. Some pages have moved around (like our Hours of Operation page), so be sure to look through our site to see where everything is, and update your links and bookmarks accordingly.

Printing News
Tired of rifling through tons of paper looking for your printout? Don't worry. Once your print job is accepted into a print queue, a pop-up window will appear to let you know which printer will print your job.

Monitor Arms
New monitor arms have been installed for all of the LCD (flatscreen) monitors in many of the CCF labs. These arms allow you to position the screen at a more comfortable viewing angle, as well as additional desktop workspace.

CCF Labs Phasing out Floppy Drives
Based on industry standards, the computer labs are phasing out both floppy and Zip drives on the MAC and Dell PC formats. Read more about the changing trends in the computer industry here.

To serve our user community, CCF has prepared a small page with information about storage alternatives that offer more storage space, versatility, stability, and are cost effective.

Spring 2004 Customer Survey, Campus Computing Facilities, RUCS-NB/P
On Tuesday, February 17th, 2004 a one-page, nine-question survey was given out to users of the computer centers on the New Brunswick campus. This survey was distributed in 11 of the 12 major public labs (LSM excluded.) CAC and Livingston also continued the survey into Wednesday, February 18th at their sites. To get a good sampling, all users were encouraged to take the survey. At some sites, they were handed to out as users entered the lab. At others, the surveys were passed out to all users at regular intervals throughout the day. Consultants diligently collected surveys to make sure we got as many as possible back. Over 2100 individuals completed and returned the survey. To make a comparison possible, questions were based on the last survey we gave some five years ago – in Spring 1999. A few were modified to make the questions and choices more clear. One question [4] was added.
