Special Groups

The CCF Instructional Microcomputer Labs (IMLs) located at the campus computing centers are funded from Student Computing Fees and by contributions from Rutgers University. They are primarily for the benefit of students of Rutgers University. As a courtesy to the general university community, the IMLs can be made available for departmental courses offered to outside organizations or individuals or outside organizations strongly affiliated with Rutgers University. In any case, the IMLs are to be used for HANDS ON computer instruction and can be reserved as long as all of the guidelines below are followed.

Guidelines
  • The IMLs are available during regularly scheduled lab hours only. Please check the hours of operation prior to making any reservation requests.
  • Class providers are required to make their own arrangements for technical and/or teaching assistance for all classes offered.
  • There is a $30.00 per hour fee for use of an IML.
  • If an instructor needs to make files or documents accessible to students in the IML, he/she must submit these files to the lab manager in accordance with the software request deadline.
  • If your course requires specific files or software that is not already installed, special requests can be made in accordance with the software request deadline.
IML reservations for special groups need to be approved by the Associate Director of CCF and may take longer to process than regular IML requests.
