Tom Rac

March 2000 Cook/Douglass Consultant of the Month (Spring Semester)

Although Tom just started working the labs this semester, you would not know it. He is a quick learner who is always enthusiastic about his responsibilities. Troublesome users do not discourage him, and he often helps out his coworkers and supervisors by covering shifts for them. Tom readily contributes to the helpful and cheerful atmosphere of the Cook/Douglass labs. {ss}

Swarna Racha

Spring 2016 Cook/Douglass Supervisor Achievement Award (Spring Semester)

This semester Pat and I are pleased to announce Swarna Racha as our Supervisor Achievement Award winner. Swarna has been an essential team member whose contributions often go unnoticed because she quietly performs them behind the scenes. Frequently she is saddled with much of the important but tedious grunt work but she never complains about it, even when dealing with her own challenges. These things could be said about the other members of the management team but through everything Swarna maintains a cheerful and optimistic disposition that sets her apart. She displays confidence that she can handle difficult situations and new, challenging opportunities that she knows will be difficult. And we can be confident that we can depend on Swarna to handle any task we give her or any situation the lab throws at her. Congratulations, Swarna, on being our Spring 2016 Supervisor Achievement award recipient! {ss,pd}

Ayaz Rahman

April 2005 Busch Consultant of the Month (Spring Semester)

After only one semester, Ayaz has made a significant impact at the Busch Computing Centers. Not only does he do a great job, but he also does it with a smile. Ayaz has impeccable customer service skills and he is very knowledgeable. His willingness to take coverage, and his light-hearted disposition are just a couple of reasons why we enjoy working with him. He will be leaving us shortly, and will be sorely missed. Good luck in the future, Ayaz. {rv}

Omar Raja

April 2012 Busch Consultant of the Month (Spring Semester)

Omar is, by far, one of the most dependable consultants we have on Busch. He is the quintessential team player here at the ARC lab. When you need anything covered, just look to Omar and he will do it, no questions asked. He has outstanding content of character which makes him a valued friend and compatriot to the staff, and a confident source of assistance for our lab patrons. He is the first to assist any co-worker with coverage, and he is seldom found without a smile and sense of optimism about the day. Omar has excellent customer service and has received several feedback responses from patrons lauding his help and excellent attitude. Furthermore, he is extremely versed with a great deal of our class software on the lab machines, which makes him an invaluable source of technical support for those tough questions we get asked. Over the past semester, the supervisor staff at ARC has watched Omar really grow into a great employee for NBCS, until he is now undoubtedly one of our Consultants of the Month. {al,cw}

Spring 2017 Livingston Consultant Achievement Award (Spring Semester)

We truly could not have made it through this semester without Sikander Raja. From finicky printers that prefer to not cooperate when many patrons are looking for their printouts to questions about RUWireless, Sikander is always up to the task. He dealt with every challenge and difficult situation thrown at him with the poise and ease of a veteran consultant. He has even handled multiple situations at once, and addressed each situation to the best of his abilities. Sikander is constantly in touch with his supervisors, providing us with great feedback about the labs and bringing issues to our attention. He is well known and consultants all around agree he is a wonderful, hard-working consultant and a pleasure to be around. Coworkers trust Sikander to be there for them when they need a hand, or even to be someone to voice problems. Sikander has acted as a representative for consultants in expressing concerns about the labs and policies, allowing supervisors to address any and all consultant concerns, and making him a valuable asset to both consultants and supervisors. He makes everyone's job, particularly the job of the supervisors, easier and more enjoyable. Sikander takes it upon himself to make every shift the best possible shift it can be, and he truly works his hardest to make the labs the best they could be. He is one of the most driven, motivated consultant with whom we've had the pleasure of working. He is more than a consultant and a coworker, he is a good friend. Livingston wouldn't be the same without Sikander as part of our family. Please join us as we celebrate Sikander Raja, the Livingston Consultant of the Semester for Spring 2017! We are truly blessed to have him as a consultant and as part of our team! {ms,lw,nh}

Whether it be dealing with difficult patron-related situations or helping out her fellow co-workers, she always proves to be dependable and calm. She is always eager to volunteer to go address any issues that arise at LSM. As a member of the closing crew Sam is a valued and integral part of OIT. In addition, Sam has an innate ability to keep a leveled head when posed with difficult scenarios and always remembers to inform the supervisory staff of any issues that may arise. She continues to go above and beyond her duties as a lab consultant and her eagerness to open lines of communication with the management team underlines Sam's attention to detail and commitment to the computer labs as a whole. Without Sam, ARC would not be the same. She serves as a great representation of our values at OIT. We are pleased to award Samantha Rapp with Consultant of the Month for April 2015! {jd,dd,mf}

During her short time at the Help Desk April has shown stellar work ethic and exceptional customer service skills. She has worked hard to learn as much as possible to help assist users and continues to do so ardently. She proves to be just as diligent in her studies by applying her multitude of skills to her school curricula. April is currently taking a rigorous course load, with classes like Chemistry and Biology, along with her hours at the Help Desk. Congratulations April! (bb)

February 2016 Help Desk Consultant of the Month (Spring Semester)

April is a second semester consultant here at the Help Desk and has continued to show her immense skills and impressive work ethic throughout both her first and second semesters working here. During her time here at the Help Desk most have had the pleasure of experiencing her infectious joy and optimistic personality. Her great attitude is extremely impressive especially due to her heavy academic work load. She is an Animal Science Major which involves taking challenging courses and waking up very early twice a week to take care of the cows here at Rutgers. She hopes her Animal Science degree will soon lead to her becoming a licensed veterinarian. Once in a while when April does have free time she binge watches Netflix with her five cats and eats pizza. April is consistently going above and beyond in her attempts to help aid users and provide the best troubleshooting assistance possible, and this is why the Help Desk is pleased to announce April Rastaetter as the Level 1 Consultant of the Month! Congratulations April! {kb}

October 2016 Help Desk Consultant of the Month (Fall Semester)

We are proud to announce April Rastaetter as the Level 2 Consultant of the Month for October 2016! April has been working at the Help Desk since Fall 2015 and is currently a Supervisor in Training. She is often ready to assist users with her knowledge and skills, no matter what the situation or time of day. In her free time, she likes to engage in reading, running, hiking, coloring, and eating. April is majoring in Environmental Policy, Institutions and Behavior, along with having two minors (Sustainability and Scientific Communication). Her favorite food keeps on changing constantly, but right now it's a Burrito from Tacoria. April's favorite movie is "10 Things I Hate About You." April loves to work at the Help Desk in her positions as a Supervisor in Training and in Application Support. We congratulate April on being awarded the Consultant of the Month award and appreciate all of her hard work!. {na}

Spring 2017 Help Desk Consultant Achievement Award (Spring Semester)

April has gone above and beyond this semester, earning recognition from both her peers and her supervisors. In fact, her efforts have recently been recognized with a promotion to Level 3 Supervisor! She's demonstrated an unparalleled dedication to answering help@s, which helps ensure that users who contact the Help Desk via email receive timely responses. During her shifts, April works through the inbox at a lightning pace, yet doesn't sacrifice quality for this speed; her responses are clear, accurate, and carefully crafted. Of course, she is involved in far more than email here at the Help Desk. April, a member of multiple supervisory committees, has consistently shown that she is a hard worker who's willing to take on a variety of tasks and see them through. She also contributes a lot of great ideas; confident and outspoken, she frequently volunteers suggestions and offers feedback during meetings. In addition to all of these fantastic traits, April is also a kind, effective mentor to her consultants and a fun person for her coworkers to interact with. Outside of work, she's known to be a compassionate person who cares deeply for the environment and advocates for the causes she believes in. We're very fortunate to have had April here at the Help Desk for a fourth semester, and we're looking forward to more great semesters to come. Please join us in congratulating April on being awarded Help Desk Level 2 Consultant of the Semester! {rc}

Akash Ray

September 2013 ResNet Consultant of the Month (Fall Semester)

Akash has been working for ResNet Office since Spring of 2013 and has demonstrated great troubleshooting skills time and time again. In addition to Akash being a dedicated Help Desk consultant, he also works shifts for Livingston Campus as a ResNet Dispatch Consultant. Akash's active status with multiple NBCS groups has allowed him to become one of the stronger members of the Office team. His experience working as a dispatch consultant allows him to provide excellent support to other dispatch consultants who call in to Office while out on appointments. Akash has proven to be a valuable part of ResNet by willingly aiding his fellow consultants and proving his abilities as a skilled problem solver. During his free time, Akash enjoys playing basketball. When he's not at work or studying, Akash is volunteering as a member of Edison's EMS Team, further providing for the surrounding community through his medical training. He is Majoring in Biology and Minoring in Psychology and has been actively studying for his MCATs, which he plans to take this coming January. Congratulations, Akash! {dm,em}

Fall 2014 ResNet Supervisor Achievement Award (Fall Semester)

Akash Ray joined the Resnet Office Supervisory team this past summer right in the middle of our transition to the 802.1x system. His novice status as a Supervisor hardly slowed him down as he headed the team that researched and created the documentation for the system. His pioneering work on the project was integral to the success of the transition for the fall semester. Once the transition took place, Akash found new ways to improve our support for the system. Whenever a new committee or task is presented, Akash is typically the first person volunteering to assist. This semester Akash taught the Intro to Networking Continual Training class. A project that he feels allowed him to grow in his own knowledge of the subject. His willingness to learn, his eagerness to participate and his dedication to his job as a Supervisor in Training, lead to his promotion to a ResNet Supervisor this month. Not only does Akash have an impressive record at NBCS, he also has a promising future for when he departs from our organization. In the fall of 2015, Akash will start Medical School! His experience as a volunteer EMT for the past 3 years in Edison, matched with his major in Biology has prepared him for his future studies. We would like to thank Akash for his outstanding performance this semester and congratulate him on being awarded ResNet Office Supervisor of the semester. {em}

Jason Redd

March 2001 Livingston Consultant of the Month (Spring Semester)

Jason has demonstrated a thorough dedication to the job by performing his duties diligently and with great care. Jason works at a time when most other people are at home asleep but still remains active, alert and attentive to the needs of the lab. In the short time he has worked on Livingston, we have been impressed by his technical knowledge and skill. Keep up the good work! {lw, mr}

Naeem Rehman

Knowledgeable about many technical issues and quick to smile - he is by all means a crucial part of the ARC workforce. He is quiet by nature but shares a warm sense of humor with those that interact with him. Naeem's customer service skills, as demanding as they are working in the DML, are virtually unparalleled. With this said, congratulations Naeem, as one of our newest Consultants of the Month. {jw,ee}

Hina Rehman

November 2009 Cook/Douglass Consultant of the Month (Fall Semester)

Hina Rehman is a dedicated consultant that has consistently proved herself to be capable of handling whatever is thrown at her in the computer labs. Since the start of her career here at NBCS, she has improved from being a trainee and learning the ropes to a consultant on par with many veterans. She is exceptionally personable when handling patrons and cooperates well with her peers and management. Hina is very punctual when it comes to shifts and meeting deadlines. She is always willing to lend a helping hand to others that may need it. Even as the semester comes to an end, she does not show any signs of wavering and manages to balance her work properly. We definitely expect to see more of Hina in the future. {ru}

March 2012 Cook/Douglass Consultant of the Month (Spring Semester)

One of the most valuable assets a lab can have is a veteran consultant who continues to perform above and beyond the call of duty. Hina has been a member of the C/D team since Fall 2009, and continues to be one of our best consultants. She has an undeniable presence in the labs, and never fails to cheer everyone with the positive attitude that she consistently brings to the lab. Her approach to customer service is one to be admired, and being the veteran that she is, we are confident in her ability to handle any situation at the labs. She sets a high standard for what a consultant should be, and she has never faltered. She successfully integrates with a consistently changing pool of consultants throughout the years, and finds it easy to interact and maintain a friendly rapport with any consultant that has the pleasure of working with her. We at C/D are proud to have Hina among our ranks, and are glad to present her with the Consultant of the Month Award! Congratulations! {ak}

Keri Reid

She has never once been heard to complain about any aspects of her job. When a problem arises she cheerfully rises to the occasion, finding the answer and efficiently handling the situation. Keri is always more than helpful to the users in the lab and to the supervisors on duty. {zk}

Etan Reisner

March 2003 College Avenue Consultant of the Month (Spring Semester)

Etan has shined as a member of the consultant staff with his extensive technical knowledge and his dedication to the College Avenue Campus labs. Etan's attitude toward the management and his co-workers is exceptional, and he is always fun to work with. He has taken emergency overnight coverage shifts throughout the semester, which has really helped the lab out. He has proven his dedication not only during his overnight coverage shifts, but also during his regularly scheduled shifts, when he is often the first person out of his seat when a user comes for help. Etan is extremely knowledgable, and is always happy to help out the lab users and lab staff. {eo, sh, jh}

He is quiet by nature but shares a warm sense of humor with those that interact with him. Naeem's customer service skills, as demanding as they are working in the DML, are virtually unparalleled. With this said, congratulations Naeem, as one of our newest Consultants of the Month. {jw,ee}

John Rhee

April 2005 ResNet Consultant of the Month (Spring Semester)

John started his career with OIT at the Help Desk and quickly showed interest in the ResNet side of the support structure. Since his addition to the ResNet College Avenue field staff in January, John has improved his ability to support more complex issues by asking questions and following up with both users and supervisors. John's user support abilities have only gotten better with his addition to ResNet due to his prompt, well-informed troubleshooting. Earnestine Rich

April 2010 Cook/Douglass Consultant of the Month (Spring Semester)

Working with the Cook Douglass labs since 2008, Earnestine has consistently been a dependable and knowledgeable consultant. Though she may spend most of her shifts at dlib, the lucky people that get to work with her have nothing but praise. During the overnight period this year, she selflessly stayed for an extra six hours to fill an open shift, even though she had already been working two back to back shifts and an overnight the day before. A hard worker and a pleasant presence in any computer lab, it is our pleasure to award Earnestine with the Consultant of the Month award for April 2010. Thanks for all the good work this month and the months to come, Earnestine! {hl}

Victoria Richmond

March 2007 Busch Consultant of the Month (Spring Semester)

Sometimes we wonder when Victoria started as a consultant because she's such a skilled consultant and has learned everything so quickly. Her practical train of thought makes our jobs easy because whenever there's an issue, she's most likely already thought of the best way to deal with it. Her awareness of the floor is something we can all learn from. No matter how strong the storm is during busy hours, she never seems to miss any of her duties and always seems to help everyone in need. With all this in mind, it's crazy to think that she started out just last semester, with only one overnight shift! Speaking of which, Victoria is the consultant that never sleeps. Overnighters are the unsung heroes of the labs, and this month we highlight one of the sparkling individuals that keep the wheels of Busch Labs a-turnin' - during after hours too. Thanks Victoria! {kp}

Shawn Riley

February 2017 Cook/Douglass Consultant of the Month (Spring Semester)

Throughout her three semesters working for us, Shawn has consistently stood out as one of our most hardworking and reliable consultants. Quickly becoming ResNet certified after her first semester, Shawn immediately began tackling daunting tickets with a level of confidence and care usually only reserved for more veteran consultants. When working with Shawn, her kind-hearted and friendly demeanor is immediately noticeable as she cheerfully greets patrons and patiently addresses any problems that they may be having. She is consistently willing to go above and beyond to help somebody, whether it be sitting down with them and working through their issues or diligently looking up contact info so they can get the answers they need. Recently, Shawn's incredible work ethic shined through when she volunteered to draw eye catching pieces of art on the whiteboards throughout Loree in order to attract more possible applicants. Even at satellite sites, Shawn's keen eye to detail proves to be a very valuable asset as she is always helpfully reporting any unusual issues or situations that she notices. The supervisors greatly appreciate all of the work Shawn has put into the labs, and we are very excited to award her February Consultant of the Month. Thank you so much for your effort, Shawn! {ab}

Christopher Rios

October 2013 Livingston Consultant of the Month (Fall Semester)

Since joining us in September, Chris has been one of Livingston's top consultants. His amiable nature provides a warm and welcoming presence for patrons in the lab. Every time Chris interacts with patrons, other consultants, or even the supervisors, he is always very open and relays information successfully. It is his attention to detail that puts Chris's performance on the map this month. He has reported every situation in a timely manner and is diligent in regard to keeping the lab running properly. Consequently Chris keeps on top of his rounds and is open to learning new things and new solutions to problems. Chris's valuable technical knowledge was evident when he started to work for us, and this has been a great contributor to Chris's performance so far as a consultant. His initiative has proved invaluable for the Livingston management, as we can rely on him to report issues and attempt to fix them at our satellite sites. In the two months since Chris began his tenure on Livingston, his excellent performance, hard work, and dedication toward the betterment of the lab have not been overlooked. Based on these splendid qualities, please join us in congratulating Christopher Rios on being named an October 2013 Consultant of the Month for Livingston Campus. Congratulations, Chris, and keep up your outstanding work! {bf,lw}

Fall 2013 Livingston Consultant Achievement Award (Fall Semester)

Chris only joined the Livingston team in Fall 2013, but has since made an incredible mark on the labs. Quality customer service, technical ability, and bonhomie; Chris has it all. His attitude is superb when working in the labs, and this has developed into him presenting a warm and pleasant atmosphere when working with patrons. This atmosphere, of course, extends to his co-workers as well. Throughout the semester, Chris has been one of Livingston's most reliable consultants. His consistent and clear communication with the supervisors has made him very popular with management. Largely because of his enthusiasm about the consultant position, Chris is always one of the first to try and solve any problems patrons are having in a concise and efficient manner. His technical knowledge is highly valued on Livingston and has been demonstrated by his thorough troubleshooting during the semester. Chris has taken the next step in the consultant position and has become certified for ResNet dispatch. While not yet working a dispatch shift, Chris has demonstrated an enthusiastic and eager attitude toward starting to work dispatch during the finals period and next semester as well. Chris's performance has been practically perfect in his time with us. This is due to his sheer desire to learn all he can, his great initiative, his affability, and his determination to perform to the best of his ability. These qualities make Chris a natural leader, and someone who is sure to teach other consultants all that he knows. Chris has shown us how invaluable he really is to the Livingston team. It is with great honor that we have chosen to name Christopher Rios the Fall 2013 Consultant of the Semester for Livingston. Congratulations Chris, and continue doing a magnificent job! {bf,lw}

James Rivas

November 2012 Livingston Consultant of the Month (Fall Semester)

Starting a new job with unknown challenges and situations can be intimating. James rose to the occasion and embraced them as opportunities to better himself. While James was newly hired in the Fall of 2012, he has quickly learned the ropes and has become a notable consultant for his good work. His quality customer service skills, combined with his drive to learn and grow has put him at the forefront of what we expect from consultants. It is a privilege to announce James as a Consultant of the Month for November 2012 for Livingston. Congratulations and keep up the good work. {ad,lw}

Hasan Rizvi

March 2005 College Avenue Consultant of the Month (Spring Semester)

During the busy hiring drive we had this month, Hasan took a step up and helped the lab out tremendously. He was constantly making sure the lab was functioning efficiently. With his cool and buoyant attitude, he would assist users, giving them the answers they needed, no matter how difficult the issue. Hasan eagerly would come to the management and offer his services to us. He also exemplified qualities necessary to be a good consultant. We would like to congratulate Hasan Rizvi on being named a Consultant of the Month. {mk,lw}

LeAnne Roberts

Fall 2006 Cook/Douglass Supervisor Achievement Award (Fall Semester)

Cook/Douglass' Supervisor of the Fall 2006 Semester is LeAnne Roberts. As our scheduling supervisor she did a tremendous job mastering the new Shift Requester and made sure that all the proper feedback was registered to assist the programmers in their efforts to perfect the new program. Even while the bugs were being worked out, LeAnne was instrumental in keeping the consultant schedules current as well as the open shift page updated. Largely due to her efforts, there were very few open shifts to deal with on a permanent basis-which meant one less headache for her co-workers to deal with.

Scheduling aside, LeAnne is a joy around the lab. She is a very interesting and talented individual who's constantly brainstorming new ideas. She brings in a unique sense of humor and can often be heard joking with fellow supervisors and consultants alike. Yet she has absolutely no problem talking to individuals who need fair-minded discipline. She always remains calm in a crisis and never jumps to conclusions. She'll think out a problem until she has the best solution and then runs with it. When she sees some problem in the lab that needs correcting, she'll see that its done each and every time consistently.

Considering that Cook/Douglass has as solid and dedicated a supervisory staff as any around Rutgers, it was no easy task to pick just one person from among them, but we absolutely feel that LeAnne deserves this honor and we are proud to name her Supervisor of the Semester for the Fall of 2006. [pd]

Alec Rodrigues

September 2018 Help Desk Consultant of the Month (Fall Semester)

The Help Desk is happy to award Alec Rodrigues our Level 2 consultant of the month award for September. He is an outstanding consultant who eagerly volunteers to accomplish difficult tasks and demonstrates a genuine interest in the technological underpinnings of OIT. Alec was part of our head-start program this summer and was able to receive Level 2 training prior to the start of the semester, which enabled him to provide assistance to new CITs who were taking calls for the first time during move in weekend. Alec is majoring in Electrical Computer Engineering with a Computer Science minor. Academically he wants to keep the ball rolling going into a pretty tough semester and learning to manage his time better. For OIT, he is hoping to complete his certifications for Net Support, Help@, and Application Support this semester. After that, if there's an opportunity to apply for Supervisor in Training later in the Fall, he would be interested in applying. He is very thankful for the recognition and looking forward to a great semester! {cy}

October 2018 Help Desk Consultant of the Month (Fall Semester)

The Help Desk is proud to award the Level Network Support Consultant of the Month award to Ciera Fedell. Ciera is a wonderful Level 2 Networking consultant who started at the Help Desk in the Summer through our Head Start program. She says that it was great being able to work consistently over the summer and to become familiar with everything before the craziness of back to school week. It has definitely helped her a lot! Her advice for newer consultants is to not let the amount of information overwhelm you, it gets a lot easier, and you pick things up quicker than you might think. This month she has worked diligently in Applications and Network Support reporting and escalating issues. She is currently working towards her Network and Applications Support certifications. She also remarks that it is never too early to start chasing after the next step on their OIT path, such as completing training and certification modules! Thank you Ciera, for all your hard work and dedication!{cs,sa}

Amy Rodriguez

October 2011 Cook/Douglass Consultant of the Month (Fall Semester)

Since joining the NBCS staff only two short months ago, Amy has already established herself as a great consultant. Between her two closing shifts and one opening shift, Amy has become a consultant that we can rely on to get the job done and get it done properly. She isn't afraid to take charge, whether it's enforcing rules in the labs, helping out patrons, or keeping an eye on her duties around the labs. Besides her work-related performance, Amy is a down-to-earth and sociable consultant to work with. Working with her is always a pleasure. Amy has been a fantastic addition to the Cook/Douglass family, and for this, we congratulate her on being the October Consultant of the Month! {rh}

Spring 2013 Cook/Douglass Consultant Achievement Award (Spring Semester)

Amy started consulting for Cook/Douglass in the Fall of 2011, and although this accolade is granted every semester, we commend Amy for her four semesters of irrefutably stellar work. Amy is easily one of the best, and hardest working consultants Cook/Douglass has ever had the pleasure of working with. We can always count on her to take the hard to cover shifts. Not only is Amy always more than willing to help out her coworkers when they need a shift covered, but she has also been incredibly reliable throughout her years with us at NBCS. From enforcing lab policy, to acting as an excellent role model for other consultants, Amy's substantial contribution to the labs is something we here at C/D truly appreciate. We admire her diligence, motivation, and personality both in and outside the labs. As she is graduating this semester, we will sincerely miss her presence in the labs in the future semesters. However, before she works her final weeks here at C/D, it is with great pleasure that we present Amy with this semester's Achievement Award in acknowledgment, and gratitude for all she has done for us throughout her stay with NBCS. Thank you for being a part of our family, and we wish you the best in your future endeavors! {ak,as,nd}

Jake Rodriguez

February 2015 Help Desk Consultant of the Month (Spring Semester)

Jake Rodriguez started at the Help Desk this past Fall semester. After months of hard work assisting users both on and off the phone, we promoted him to a Level 2 consultant with the hopes that he would continue to achieve greatness. After only a few weeks into his time as a Network Support consultant, these hopes have already been recognized with Jake's fantastic handling of the escalated calls and difficult walk-ins he has come across. Jake is a truly determined soul and consistently puts 110% effort into everything he does. One of Jake's most impressive accomplishments thus far was being the first of our consultants to use Bomgar, our remote desktop tool, on an RCI mail question call that took over 2 hours to resolve! He notes that his favorite part of the job is assisting users, particularly if they experienced a difficult issue. Jake is a Material Science Engineering Major and hopes to one day join the supervisory team here at the Help Desk. We thank Jake for all of his work so far and cannot wait to see what the future brings for him! {sp}

Shona Roebuck

October 2010 Cook/Douglass Consultant of the Month (Fall Semester)

Shona recently joined us as a consultant this year and exhibits great qualities. Although she has only been a consultant for over a month, she has proven herself to be a wonderful addition to our team. She is friendly, hard-working, diligent, and goes above and beyond the call of duty. What is most notable about Shona is her proactive, "I can do anything" attitude. We're confident that she will continue to excel as a future consultant. Congratulations and thanks so much Shona - keep up the great work! {yp}

March 2011 Cook/Douglass Consultant of the Month (Spring Semester)

In just her second semester working for NBCS, Shona Roebuck is always on top of her duties and looking for ways to help patrons as well as coworkers. Every site that she works at gets her squeaky clean treatment and always is left looking neat and professional at the end of her shifts. In addition to her can-do and helpful attitude, she is very friendly with everyone, and is constantly thinking of new ideas for fun events and outings for her fellow consultants. Shona is a dependable consultant that is a valuable part of our team. It is our pleasure on Cook/Douglass to award Shona again with Consultant of the Month. Congrats! {djt,ras}

Sabeen Rokerya

April 2018 Cook/Douglass Consultant of the Month (Spring Semester)

Sabeen is an outstanding and outgoing consultant who not only goes above and beyond to solve an issue at hand but also makes it a priority to ensure that those around her are comfortable and feel welcome. Her enthusiasm for the job was demonstrated when she jumped right into applying for ResNet despite being one of our newer consultants. Upon coming into the training, it was clear that Sabeen had reviewed the manual several times and was already well familiar with the concepts we were going to cover. This is a trait that is consistent no matter what training she is going through, as she always comes well prepared with an understanding of the material and any questions that she may have had. When on shift, we never see her keeping to herself -- she is always generating some kind of engaging conversation with those she's working with. She has an eye for detail and is quick to solve an issue if it arises and doesn't leave the task at hand until its completely resolved. She is very communicative and is always volunteering to aid in any way she can, which not only speaks out to her work ethic but also her personality. Sabeen is always willing to help her fellow consultants out with coverages and seems to always have everyone's best interest in mind! Sabeen is altogether a wonderful, hardworking consultant who certainly deserves this award. Keep up the great work, Sabeen, and congratulations! {vs,ab}

Gabrielle Romanowski

September 2015 Livingston Consultant of the Month (Fall Semester)

Gabby is one of our new consultants this semester and has had her work cut out for her learning how to be both a consultant and how to handle dispatch and walk-in tickets. On Livingston we have few veteran consultants to draw experience from so Gabby has done an incredible job working and learning new things almost entirely on her own. She's taken to the dispatch role quickly and has helped us keep our queue clear and our patrons happy even through the most challenging of technical problems. We first saw her skill during SWAT when she powered through user questions and ResNet setups and worked tirelessly to clear crowded buildings and waves of incoming Freshmen looking to set up their networks and devices. Since then she has kept up the momentum by clearing dispatch tickets whenever she can get her hands on them. Gabby is a joy to have on our team and we're looking forward to seeing her grow more as a Livingston Dispatch Certified Consultant. Please join us in congratulating Gabrielle Romanowski for being named a Livingston Consultant of the Month for September 2015! {as,nh}

Daniel Rosen

September 2005 Livingston Consultant of the Month (Fall Semester)

Dan has proven to be quite an asset to the Livingston Computing Center during his first semester here. Always smiling and cheerful, Dan consistently performs his duties to the fullest extent without hesitating to lend a helping hand to fellow consultants. As early as his second shift with us, Dan was assisting new consultants as though he had been working here for months. Dan's excellent technical knowledge and the proficiency with which he assists patrons is greatly appreciated. Please join us in congratulating Dan as one of our Consultants of the Month! {tc, mm}

Ashley Rosenfeld

April 2007 Cook/Douglass Consultant of the Month (Spring Semester)

On behalf of the Cook/Douglas management, I am very pleased to announce that Ashley is our Consultant of the Month for April 2007. Since she began working with us, she has always been a ray of sunshine in our labs. The flowers in her hair are always as big and bright as her smile. She tackles difficult problems with ease, takes emergency coverage almost every week, and keeps the lab environment super friendly. Another one of her amazing contributions to the labs is her artwork she puts on her white boards. Every semester she has drawn on almost every board, emphasizing the rules and regulations with familiar characters. Without her, the lab would truly be a boring and bland place. Congratulations Ashley, for all of your hard work and dedication! {lm}

Michael Rotella

September 2017 Livingston Consultant of the Month (Fall Semester)

This is Mike's first semester as a consultant with us but it hardly feels that way. Mike has taken to this position with the ease of a veteran consultant. He keeps the labs running smoothly at all times, whether it's peak hours at Carr Library, or a lull at Tillett. He's always on the move, keeping things neat and tidy, and keeping our patrons happy. He's been a vital part of the consultant team with the hustle and bustle of the new semester. We are truly lucky to have him as one of our consultants, and he has easily become one of our top consultants in just a few short weeks. Please join us in congratulating Michael Rotella on achieving Consultant of the Month for September 2017! {ms,lw}

Spring 2018 Livingston Consultant Achievement Award (Spring Semester)

Mike Rotella has made his presence felt far and wide since becoming a Livingston consultant. You can often find Mike hard at work on various projects or just helping out with anything Livingston needs. He was always willing to volunteer and pitch in whenever he could. His enthusiasm and commitment to the Labs and everyone involved is evident to the entire supervisory team. As a veteran consultant, he would always assist other consultants when they were having difficulty or when Mike's expertise would help the situation. Mike has been consistent in his excellence as a consultant for the entire semester and has repeatedly proven himself to be one of Livingston's very best. Mike is graduating and will be greatly missed, but he has a bright future ahead of him. Please join us in congratulating Michael Rotella on being named Livingston's Spring 2018 Consultant of the Semester! {ss,lw}

Paul Roy

April 2010 Busch Consultant of the Month (Spring Semester)

Paul Roy is a shining example of what we've come to expect from our consultants: hardworking, dependable, and very personable. Paul is always ready and willing to work...whether we need consultants to sign up for special break schedules, or we're looking for coverage during the week. His eagerness is only surpassed by his enthusiasm for his job, responding to patron questions and issues with a smile and a friendly nature that always has the effect of putting the patron at ease. Paul is one of those consultants bitten by the "ARC bug", which means you'll often find him off shift hanging outside the consultant station assisting the other consultants during periods of heavy traffic - a sure sign of a true ARC consultant. There is really no bigger testament to how much consultants enjoy working here! Paul is very dependable and friendly. He always does a good job and he has deserved this award for several months! Congratulations, Paul! {mnb,wc,wll}

This month, we have selected Sarah Royston for Consultant of the Month. Sarah is a new consultant this year and has already shown the Cook/Douglass Labs that she is motivated to succeed and help patrons enthusiastically. Her spunk and fun attitude are positive influences on all of the people around her. She is always volunteering to help the management by taking coverage or helping with special projects. Sarah does not neglect her duties a single moment while she works, arriving early and being sure to notify the incoming consultants of anything going on in the labs. She sets a great example for other new consultants with her determination and hard work. Please join us in celebrating Sarah on being selected as COTM for September! {lo, adr}

Santiago Ruiz-Chanci

October 2018 Busch Consultant of the Month (Fall Semester)

Santiago embodies everything we look for in consultants. He is always friendly, reliable, and cheerful to patrons and coworkers alike. He approaches his work with keen attention to detail and is quick to give detailed reports of any issues he notices in the labs. He is frequently seen quietly handling the numerous small consultant responsibilities that are often forgotten amidst other issues in the lab. He goes the extra mile to really ensure that the labs he works at are in tip-top shape. However, Santiago's work does not go unnoticed by his fellow coworkers who talk highly about his great work ethic and friendly manner to the management team. The consultants that work with him often mention how Santiago makes their shifts much more memorable as he is always eager to make conversation. His positivity improves everyone's moods, making the lab a better, more welcoming place. We are very glad to have him on our team at Busch. Congratulations Santiago and keep up the good work! {nm,emo,jmo}

September 2006 College Avenue Consultant of the Month (Fall Semester)

Cherlyn is a veteran consultant that has returned highlighting the work ethic and values to which we expect our new consultants to aspire. Cherlyn has stepped up this month and been a guiding light for all consultants this semester. She was particularly helpful in getting many of the new consultants acclimated to their new work environment. She has taken on many coverages, maintains the lab in good order, and makes sure to enforce all policies. She always offers to help out in times of need. She is a dependable, trustworthy consultant and a great asset to the College Avenue Computing Center. Congratulations! [mk, lw]

Andrew Russomagno

The Help Desk is happy to announce that the Network Support Consultant of the Month for April 2018 was awarded to Andrew Russomagno! Andrew was hired last spring and has been working with us since Fall of 2017. During this time, he has accomplished a great amount of work in a short period of time. He has worked hard throughout the semester to complete his Network Support certification as well as pursue areas of networking further. His assistance with timely answering emails and troubleshooting intricate issues was greatly appreciated. Andrew truly enjoys the friends he has made at the Help Desk that not only help him improve, but make his time enjoyable. He appreciates how helpful his coworkers can be. When he is not working, Andrew is pursuing his degree in Computer Engineering with a Computer Science minor. He also likes to exercise, hang out with his friends, and go on adventures when he has the chance. We want to thank Andrew for all of the hard work he has done, as it has not gone unnoticed. Congratulations! {la,jf}

Mark has demonstrated that he is one of the most dependable consultants at CACC. Punctual and professional, supervisors can always rely on him to arrive to his opening shifts on time and to consistently carry out his consultant duties, including checking the supply inventory at Satellite as well as troubleshooting and reporting repair issues. Mark's diligence and eagerness to assist supervisors make their jobs easier, and his technically proficient customer service is a benefit to all users. Vladislav Ryvkin

March 2010 Help Desk Consultant of the Month (Spring Semester)

Vlad has been a member of the NBCS team since Fall of 2008. He not only works with the Help Desk but the Labs and Operations as well. When it comes to answering users' questions, Vlad displays both enthusiasm and dedication, paging through every resource to find an answer. He has demonstrated a commitment to the Help Desk by taking extra shifts, particularly during Spring break. Vlad has been working with Operations since Summer of 2009, where he displays the same dedicated work ethic. During his spare time, Vlad likes to ride his bike and engage in debates that require logical reasoning. We appreciate Vlad's logic and effort when helping users at the Help Desk and thus would like to congratulate him on being selected as the Help Desk Consultant of the Month! {fd}
